creative vision for enduring impact

Each day more than 300 Peddie students participate in visual arts, music and theater — a dramatic increase over the past four decades. Our Swig Arts Center, built in 1989, is bursting at the seams.

One Peddie seeks $5,000,000+ to create an expanded arts facility, which will include a new music hall, an enhanced black box theater, an exhibition hall, a new visual art studio classroom and additional soundproof music practice studios. Once we alleviate the burden of space constraints, we can offer more flexibility in teaching and greater vital, robust programming.

“No longer are arts optional and outside the core curriculum. They now reflect Peddie’s belief that the arts play a central and permanent role in education — especially at the high school level. This expansion is a sign of Peddie’s maturity and competitiveness and its leadership in independent school education.”

— Anne Seltzer P’88, Advisory Trustee
